Famil Trip Tiare Programme 2011

On January 27, 2011 a group of nine travel agents from around New Zealand, and Tahiti Tourisme’s New Zealand PR consultant were given the opportunity to travel to Tahiti for seven nights to familiarise themselves with the two most common holiday destinations in Tahiti – Papeete and Moorea

Hosted by Toriki Manjard, there were 13 hotel inspections in total over the duration of the trip - all ranging from 2-star to 5-star. From the hotels inspected the group stayed in six spectacular rooms (in bold below).

The Itinerary was made by Vaiani Raoulx and her team at Tahiti Tourisme Head Office and was jam-packed with a range of activities ranging from 4WD excursions to swimming with dolphins at the famous Intercontinental Moorea.

Other activities included were:

• Dinner at The Roulottes
• Markets in Tahiti
• Quad biking around Moorea and up Magic Mountain
• Horse riding
• Cultural experience at the Tiki Village
• Motu Picnic and swimming with the sharks and rays

The aim of the trip was to find out about Tahiti and gain an understanding of the culture, language and everything possible about the resorts,hotels andattractions. For the travel agents having had these experiences themselves, they are much better able to make recommendations to their clients.

Everyone on the trip came back with a much better knowledge of the magnificent country that is Tahiti, and also had a fantastic experience themselves.
