Jill is a multi- award winning public relations practitioner with extensive experience in a range of disciplines for many of New Zealand’s leading companies and brands including Nissan New Zealand, Pernod Ricard, Tourisme Tahiti, Goodman Fielder, NZ Dairy Group, Visa, Air New Zealand, Lion Breweries, and Nestle New Zealand.
Acknowledged as one of the pre-eminent marketing communications professionals in New Zealand she has created and delivered innovative and practical public relations programmes for clients, including the opening of the redeveloped Auckland Art Gallery, the global rebranding of New Zealand’s iconic Montana wines and its 30th anniversary celebrations of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, the acclaimed Goodman Fielder School of the Year project and a number of Air New Zealand’s high profile programmes including its strategic repositioning domestically and across the Tasman. Jill’s work for Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED) on a number of RWC 2011 projects resulted in a certification of appreciation from Auckland Mayor Len Brown for her “invaluable contribution” to RWC 2011 in Auckland. She lead the Star Public Relations team on a communications review and restructure of the New Zealand Rugby Union and has worked for a number of clients on sponsorship projects for the All Blacks, Air New Zealand NPC (now ITM Cup), as well as Lord of the Rings sponsorships and the award-winning Weetbix Kiwi Kids Tryathlon. She currently leads Star’s team for high profile companies, Carnival Australia (P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, Cunard) and Nissan New Zealand.
Jill is also renowned for her project management skills in delivering major public relations programmes on time, on budget and on task.
She is a Director and Shareholder of Star Public Relations, is a Fellow of the Public Relations Institute, a guest lecturer in Marketing Communications for AUT University and PRINZ’s APR programme and is a regular judge for PRINZ’s annual industry awards.
